John D. Tallman, owner and President, started Tallman Aerial Spraying,Inc. in 1976 with one agricultural aircraft. John was trained to fly jet fighter planes in the U.S. Air Force. He was a natural flyer but he also loved farming. While training with the Air Force in Arizona, he saw his first "cropduster" spraying vegetable fields near the air base. Here was how he could do his two loves- farming and flying!
John started his spraying business by spraying potato fields for his family in Pennsylvania. Soon other farmers asked him to spray for them. He was on his way!
As the years progressed, he did more and more timberland spraying and less row-crop spraying.
Soon he became one of the top forest and timber land aerial sprayers.Tallman Aerial Spraying, Inc. developed this specialty by spraying hundreds of thousands of acres of Pennsylvania private sector timberland.
